Salisu Abdullahi co-founded eTrash2Cash in 2016 in Northern Nigeria to help less fortunate people monetise their waste. eTrash2Cash uses technology to exchange e-waste for money, using a website, mobile app and SMS platform, low-income communities can earn money in exchange for their everyday waste. Since starting in 2016, they have created over 27 social micro-entrepreneurs, collected over 106,222kg of waste and paid over N5, 575,273 (USD 13,352) in incentives. They have since partnered with Microsoft, Co-creation Hub Nigeria and more.
