As CEO of the Summit Development Group, Peter works with impact investors and financial institutions in sub-Saharan Africa. He is the Senior Advisor on the Cambridge Education-managed DEEPEN programme in Lagos where 70% of children are educated by low-cost schools. He is also co-lead of the Affordable Education Finance with Capital Plus Exchange of Chicago, USA. Peter’s interests are impact investing, African development, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and low-cost education in Africa. His DPhil research at Oxford is looks at the role of impact investing in financing non-state, low-cost early years’ and primary schools in Africa.

Peter has over 25 years of commercial experience in the UK and he has worked for the Enterprise Banking Group (Botswana), BancABC (Botswana), CDC, Africa Trading (South Africa), BhS plc and Mazars. His interests are impact investing, African development, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and low-cost education in Africa.
