Peter Hinton, associate fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where he teaches on the MBA and Impact Investment programs. He has over 25 years of commercial experience in Africa, the United Kingdom and South East Asia investing and transforming financial institutions, banks, fair-trade and not-for profit organisations. He is also the co-lead of Affordable Education Finance, a sectoral approach to increasing finance to affordable private schools in Africa and South Asia. The Medical Credit Fund (MCF) is a fund that provides loans to small and medium-sized healthcare enterprises in Africa. It has an innovative blended capital structure, which combines grants, debt financing and first-loss capital from public and private sources.
