Abayomi Alowode leads Islamic Finance at the Finance and Markets Global Practice of the World Bank Group. He leads the Bank’s program in Islamic finance and has worked as an adviser to the Central Bank of Bahrain. He has a B.Sc and M.Sc in Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and an M.Phil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, England. He has authored several papers on monetary and financial sector issues.
