“Karim is the Portfolio Manager for 500 Startups in the Middle East and North Africa. He started his career by launching his first venture-backed startup at age 19, and since then, he has launched and worked in several other startups, and worked in public sector consulting in Egypt.

Prior to joining 500 Startups, Karim helped 4 venture capital funds fundraise throughout the MENA region (total of $100m in funds), supported a portfolio of 280+ startups, and designed an international virtual startup incubator program with a focus on displaced populations and inspiring female entrepreneurs. Before COVID-19, Karim was an avid Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioner and coach.”
