Matebe Chisiza has an extensive background in international affairs, development, human rights and strategic leadership. Her professional journey includes roles such as a Researcher at the South African Institute of International Affairs, a Foreign Policy Advisor to the Embassy of Switzerland in Southern Africa for four years, and, most recently, a dual position as the Regional Manager of Public-Private Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Production with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). While at the ICRC she served on the organisation’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Board. Matebe has also made significant contributions to academic discourse with her published articles and papers, covering topics such as women’s political representation in government, the gender digital divide, youth involvement in public office, elections and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
